I am starting to get the itch to learn Final Cut. My apple store is having a workshop tomorrow from 10-11. I am thinking of going. Has anyone attended one of these? Is it very helpful? I am comfortable with imovie, but I have not used Final Cut at all. Hopefully someone can share their experience.

I went to an imovie one,, it was ok.

imovie is easy to self teach tho. I bet the final cut pro one is good, looks much more complicated..

I actually went to the workshop. I was the only one that showed up. But, it worked out well. I asked to go over Final Cut Express instead. He did a great job and I learned a lot! I am editing some of my kids video right now!

I've been thinking of going to the FCP, Motion, DVD Pro up at the Michigan Ave store in Chicago soon. Even though I know a lot about FCP, I'm sure I'd pick up a few things and I haven't used Motion or DVD Pro yet and its always a great thing to see someone use it first.

Besides, its a great excuse to go to Chicago for me 😀

D

I went to the iMovie workshop in San Fran before I left. I followed along with my PowerBook. Its was cool. When I return from Afghanistan I am going back to do a Final Cut Pro workshop.

I went to a garageband workshop with special teacher Francis Preve.
I got a signed book!
(FREEEE!!!!)

It made my day a lot better! I learned some stuff (mostly about electronic remixing.. bla) and it was pretty cool.

That night was the night my PB's HD died. 🙁

It made my day better though. 😀 Free Book!

i want to go to the final cut express and pro one but its held on tues when i have class.... and only the cambridge store offers it 🙁

I am soooo glad I went to the class. I made two movies of some videos i had of the kiddos. I am anxious to learn all the really neat features. But, to actually edit one and burn it to a dvd was a miracle for me!😀 Baby steps....
