Hi all I'm a new member I belong to MacDebate and have popped in here on a few occasions to lurk. This morning I read a fascinating story in the Circuits section of the NY Times. The article in case some of you have not heard about it revolves a poster on here who got the shaft from an ebay sale on a powerbook and how THIS forum helped to nab the guy. Congratulations, way to go.
I have been searching this board for any additional info on this and haven't found it can someone please point me to the thread concerning this story.
By the way I really like the way this forum is designed I belong to a lot of forums and this has to go have the most options I have ever seen. You should hear more from me in the future

They did a good job with the story - it is nice seeing MacRumors there, but no mention of the fact the General Cybernetics gave him new iBook.
And interesting tar there ed, what is it?

Ok, its a little better, but I still don't really have an idea what the little purple thing with the skull slicer is supposed to be. Got any context to place this in to help?

The mind breaking free from the body?

It was from a 300k movie file, I had just cut it down to an even 100x100 grid - but found that the file was still big and lost a lot at the 50x50 resolution.
So while I coun't post the full size file the 100x100 does make a good crazy smiley. Or it did until it was turned into a avatar. ;)
I could drop a copy of the full size pic shrunk down, but at the 50x50 resolution it would be a little too small to see clearly.
