SMS Messages missing

Satisfied with ios7 except somewhere along the line, my old sms messages are gone. Tried all the various toggles to see if I have left anything off. Ublikely a bug as I cant find a mention anywhere of this issue. My contacts, emails and calendars synced fine

Did you restore from an ios6 backup?
