So, I want to spell check in Vietnamese in OSX.
I'm running OSX 10.7.5 on a MacBook Pro 13"
My language is set as British English
I have a custom Vietnamese dictionary downloaded from somewhere (can't remember where) installed into ~/Library/Spelling/

Under System Preferences > Language & Text > Text [tab] > Spelling [dropdown] > Set Up , I have Tiếng Việt (Library) (Vietnamese) added and enabled.

Using TextEdit, I have spelling set as 'Automatic by Language', but it doesn't spell check at all in Vietnamese

If I set spelling as 'Tiếng Việt', it spell checks some, but not all

I guess it's something to do with compatibility of converted dictionaries. I remember converting the dictionary from StarDict format, but I can find no documentation on dictionary formats in OSX nor an editor for dictionaries.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can solve this?
