A lot has to happen. For example, we’ll need true device convergence, so that video piped into a home could be viewed on either your PC, TV or any other screen-equipped devices that come into existence.
Bah, the (in-home) technology is there now. The bandwidth isn't there at a reasonable price. Those little low-res iTMS videos are doing to have to improve by miles before they'll be a challenge to cable and DVD.

I agree. The technology is there even if the interface may not be up to par or the devices may not work well together at this point b/c of makers that don't play nice together, but bandwith is the issue.
My episode of Lost I purchased because my Moxi recorded it off of my cable in Spanish (go figure) was fine as a fill in, but it was definitely was a temporary replacement.
