Damn, I remember when all of those came out and the furor that ensued...especially the iWalk.

With the new form factors supposedly coming out with the MacTel machines, I'm thinking we might see some new ones :D

Somehow I missed the iMac elevator pic. Neat idea though!

That iHome was damn believable. However the finished product itself when viewed does look kak!

yes. :) But I don't think many people have had time to browse through the guides, and as good content evolves and develops, I am planning on linking through to hilight 'em.

Wow, I missed a lot of these and I'm glad that I did. That faked video iPod looks terrible, who would buy that?

I particularly enjoyed the linked iPod introduction thread. I've put one of the better comments in my sig :D

What about the widescreen CRT iMac that was pictured just before the Sunflower LCD iMac came out?

It was real ... I actually saw one.

It never was released though.

As for the iWalk ... the real story is that all the people at Spymac trust AtariST with their information - after perpetrating some of the most elaborate scams to ever hit the Mac World. Spymac is best compared to the Star Wars cantina - hangout of some of the worst scum and villiany in the Mac Universe.

Spymac helped to solidify my love for the Macrumors style of reporting rumors.

Did you get a pop under when you went to that thread? Oh, and I love the reaction we had to the iPod, classic. :D

What is this new devilry!

Ok, I know it was a fake, but that iHome thing still looks real to me from those pics. :(

(and so does that white iWalk. So um.....when is it coming out?)

i nearlly believed the iHome, but i forgot about it i guess, and

i think the fake ipod g5 had a nice concept, rotating the screen from long side of the screen paralell to the short side of the ipod to long-long and short-short allowing more screen space. however, it is akward playing and viewing stuff on an ipod sideways though, no wonder apple dicthed it.

i hope apple would come with a good idea of making the screen bigger, like rotating and still making it look gorgeous at the same time, or some other brilliant idea.
