Man is THAT a contradiction of terms. You are shopping in the wrong store if you are looking for decent headphones.
I wasn't looking to buy any headphones. I mean I was browsing, but not really seriously looking. I'm still upset that the $50 Sony noise-canceling headphones I bought a couple of years ago broke because they're made of cheap plastic at the joints where the ear covers actually swivel. They weren't too bad. I mean they were nothing great, but they canceled out noise better. Perfect for using while mowing the lawn.
I don't get the hatred for Target in this realm. They had the Beats by Dre, Skullcandy, Bose and a few other brands that I don't hear talked about as much when people talk about "good" headphones. I'd like to compare those $150 headphones to some I tried at Best Buy for $300 a few years ago that canceled out ALL the noise in the store. So I mean what else is out there? I'm still using my earpods mostly because they're great for stuffing in a bag and getting decent sound out of earbud-style headphones.
I'm all for recommendations. What I really want is Bluetooth headphones with a built-in mic, the play/pause/skip button like the earpods, and noise canceling. You give me all that for $150, I'm in. Maybe even $200. Maybe.
