hi everyone!

I connected my iPod with my TV and used apples AV Cable, so far so dandy...
the pic is great, this mp4-format puts out a great TV-picture!!

...but there is no sound?!
well, when I play the the movie on my iPod, the sound workes but not when hooked up to the TV!

In theory, the sound should work on tv when it's working on the iPod, right?
...so this should be a TV-problem, right?
can anybody confirm?

I donno, have to try with another tv-set I guess...

Could you comment on what bitrate and resolution you used, and how it looked on the TV?

I'm looking for a good standard resolution to use for all my video files, but I want them to be at least broadcast quality on TV out.

What were you doing wrong and how did you remedy it, in case others run in to this problem?

I use a lot of different bitrates and resolutions... depends on the movie...

---

I wasn't doing anything wrong, I just guess that my TV is too old and that there was a hardware problem with my tv-set.
