"... Apple, as usual, is following someone else..."

What? Where do they find these people? Rooting through the trash bins in the back of the building?

In all fairness, Apple uses other people's ideas quite a bit. It just doesn't seem that way because Apple will borrow 1 idea from each of 5 companies... Then 10 companies will each take 10 ideas from Apple.

...Not to say i would have phrase like that in my article, because it does come off as pretty misleading.

The Mac was BORN out of stealing the ideas from others. What, do ya think that the whole concept of a desktop operating system and the use of a mouse came out of the minds of Jobs and Woz ? Nope, they stoled it from Parc Zerox. Yup........a copier company came up with whole idea in the first place. Apple copied it and the rest is history.

Now granted, Microsoft copied the whole desktop/windows enviornment from Apple, so it is kinda weird that the writer for Time would say it in such a way as to imply that it is only Apple that follows someone else's ideas for Microsoft is as guilty as anyone of doing the exact same thing.
