I want to write a hyperlink for mail, so when I send it, the receiver only sees this (www.macrumors.com) instead of www.macrumors.com

I found a couple threads that somewhat relate like

this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=46665&highlight=hyperlink+mail)

this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=107644&highlight=hyperlink+mail)

or this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=130318&highlight=hyperlink+mail)

but they all seem to say that mail cannot make hyperlinks. there must be some kind of plug in, or hack or SOMETHING that would allow me to do this. seems odd that this wouldnt be possible. Thanks!

I believe that if you just type in the full URL then it automatically recognizes that as a hyperlink. I would look around to find the link function, but I am at work on a PC right now.

Type the word in the body of the email, hi-lite and select the word, right click, select Edit Link, enter the link.. etc etc

To make a hyperlink in iChat you just select the text and press command+k. Why Mail lacks this shortcut baffles me.
