It doesn't specifically list Office 2011 (the Mac version) in the list of what can be viewed. I assume this is important for Mac users?
Um-m-m-m, no. There is no unique Office 2011 format. Office 2011 uses the same format as Office 2010 and Office 2007.

I know from using both 2010 and 2011 editions extensively (the first at my regular workplace, the second in my freelance editing work) that they definitely do behave differently in certain ways. That's why I find it odd - on an Apple forum no less - that the 2011 edition isn't mentioned.
