Target disk without firewire?

If MBAs don't have firewire, then is target disk impossible?, if I can't target disk with my PowerMac G5 Quad, I will probably get the MSI Wind. I am asking because I am thinking of getting a MSI Dragon and and the best MBA available. I currently have a MBP and it is too heavy to casually browse the web, and too light to play my games like CIV V, Crysis III, Cities XL, COD, both portals, metro, and skyrim, I thought it would be nice to have a super light, but underpowered laptop like a MBA, MSI Wind, or just upgrade the schist out of my PowerBook 12" (dual 512GB SSDs in raid 0, have someone solder on some more RAM, etc.) and get it anodized gold, and a ultra powerful, but heavy laptop, the MSI Dragon. Another purpose of this was to stop using apple products made after the intell switch, because it was a bad decision that I no longer wish to support.
