When I migrated to OS 9.2 and OS X, I lost important attributes on two apps: AppleWorks 5 and Scrabble. I have tried in several ways to install OS 8.6 on a CD so I could boot from it with the two apps also on the disk, but I cannot seems to make it go.

One thought, which I find distasteful is to repartition my drive with a section for 8.6.

Any other thoughts?

1. This should be in Mac Help/Questions, not Software Rumors.

2. Get TomeViewer from versiontracker.com. That should let you look at the installation tomes on the CD and pick and choose what you want to install.

Why don't you upgrade appleworks?
