Any popular/ good third party apps already iOS7 ready (UI and stuff)? Or too soon?

They aren't allowed to update their apps for iOS 7 yet, but what they can do is fix bugs present on iOS 7 (like app crashing, certain features not working). They can't say iOS 7 specifically in the release notes but it'll just be called "bug fixes"

I would like to know if ios 7 will allow developers to create apps like sms auto reply, missed call sms reply, and other location based apps like locale for android. I did see something during ios 7 preview that says automatic configuration so I am hoping to see apps like this soon.

this is apple we're talking about. It took them 4 os'es to get wallpapers on the home screen.

Yelp updated about 2 weeks ago and in the notes said "And some updates for you eager iOS 7 users" (or something along those lines)...so YES, they are doing the updates, and YES some of them have started to make their way into the app store.

Yes there is an called Posegram. Uses iOS 7 interface. It's free on the App Store.

Seems some are breaking the rules!

You're correct for the most part, but some do mention it such as Yelp.

Look at the update release notes in the App Store and you'll see, for version 6.9.0, they commented,

". . . ton of general improvements out with this release, including some for you eager-beaver iOS 7 Beta users"

EDIT - credit to jbenkelman for posting this earlier. Should've read the entire thread :)

This is entirely correct.

You can't release an new App or update an existing one while targeting the iOS 7 SDK.

You can release updates which fix bugs specific to iOS 7 (such as crashes and UI oddities), but nothing that uses iOS 7 UI elements.

Apple repeatedly fails to enforce the App Store guidelines on metadata (app descriptions etc.), so it's no surprise that Apps are getting through while mentioning iOS 7

Yeah, look at all those tethering apps that got through apple, or that app that had porn in it or something. Apple can't get everything.

UI-wise you might be waiting a while

Does anyone here really think all major apps are going to update their apps just for the iOS 7 release?

Sure we might see Yahoo! (Apple partner) and Twitter (Apple partner) update their apps quickly but I have a feeling lots of the iOS 6 and earlier elements are going to remain unchanged in some apps for quite some time unless Apple enforces the UI change and lets developers know their apps will be removed if not updated with new UI elements. I don't think that will happen.

I've seen a lot of posts on other sites warning app developers to update their apps to iOS 7 as soon as possible . Mostly because keeping their apps with current look and feel makes them look old and outdated compared to iOS 7. And pretty soon devs will be hit up with requests to update their app. Below is a blog posting on the subject.

Look how long it took some apps to update to the .5 inch bigger screen. Some still aren't updated yet.
