I just got a powerbook g4, which I love, ubt frankley, the 8x burner in it is not as fast as I would like...
Who makes good external CDRW drives for the mac that are 48 or even 52x?
Thanks!

I want Apple to release a SuperDrive upgrade for mine, that would rock!

Lacie comes with Toast Lite, but you may want to get Titanium 5.2, iMax, if you are looking to do something more than CD-Rs and CD-RWs.
I agree with Lacie on this. The only legit downside I can think of from using two different CD-RWs (16x10x40, which I accidently busted, and now my father's 24x10x40 muhahahahaha :D) is the noise the CD-RW makes when it's on. It isn't too bad once you get used to it, but I'd rather deal with noise than a crap CD-RW.

Thanks a lot guys, for the help -
The lite on 52X and a case sounds like the fastest, cheapest option.
And I've got toast Titanium so woohoo!
