Yeah I read that this morning too. Of course he's anti-choice, I would expect nothing less from this president. But add this to his Vanguard troubles, throw in another 6 or 7 weeks before the hearings begin, and add in Bush's weakened status, and I'd say Alito may be in for a rocky ride to the Supreme Court.

Not a definitive knockout blow by any means, but this will crystalize the opposition to Alito and give those looking for a reason to oppose him something they can hold onto.

I would like to see them try to overturn Roe v Wade. The backlash against them will be worse than it is now and they'll loose one of the main things that solidifies the base. I'm guessing it's all a show, so they can just reaffirm a woman's right to choose by a small margin and blame it all on the liberals. Then they can slip in all the other horrible stuff they can get away with and no one will notice.
