Ok take your new 5g ipod with video and hold it in your hand, scroll through a bunch of songs that requires the hard drive to be working, then once you click the song that you want rock the ipod back and forth from left to right. (If you are holding it in you hand go to the left and down, then come back up to the right) WHen this happens, you might here a noise in the harddrive and the song will not select until you stop moving it, or it will choose a different song than you selected.

I thought this was just a problem with one ipod so i exchanged it, but it does it on my new one too.... so i went to the store and it does it on all the ipods...

You may have no idea what i am talking about but if any of you do, try it and tell me what you discover...

I'll be sure not to do "the pee" dance and vibrate while selecting songs on a 5G iPod.
:D

ugh...does it here to. I always felt that the hard drive searching vibrations were annoying.

It looks like Apple recognizes as a problem because they've coded it to go to another track because the song won't load into the buffer.

The reason this may happen in the 5Gs and not earlier versions use a newly designed hard drive.

Meh, should've bought a Nano if you intend to run w/ the iPod. Those full size video iPods are "heavy."
