Right now I have a 74GB Raptor drive with OS X and all of my apps. My original 160GB drive is still in there and I am currently using it for backups. The Rapor is filling up fast and I am wondering how feasible it is to have the OS on it and all my apps on the other drive. I have a feeling the best thing to do might be get a nice large capacity drive and go back to a single drive configuration.

It would work, but I won't recommend because you have a Raptor drive. I'm assuming you purchased that drive with speed in mind. By placing your OS and apps on another drive, you'll be losing the speed you paid for. I'd kept the system and apps on the Raptor. I'd move everything else to another drive (movies, music, documents, etc).
