Alright i have a powerbook g4 tibook 400/256/10/dvd.Powerbook case is in mint condtion, hardly any scratches, tight hinges, comes with orginal box, discs, etc.. powerbook works great except for the screen issue. Screen just shows ethier a blank screen or just weird messed up colors.Works great on external montior or through tv through s-video.i beleive the problem with the orginal screen is just with the internal part of the screen's controller that is hosed. I mean, the actually decoder between the wire and the actual display .i bought an extra lcd and cable parts to swap ethier the screen out or for parts off ebay.the replacement screen does work, howerver it has no backlight. may just be as simple as replacing the backlight.havent had any time to do anything else with it. asking $250 for the whole lot of powebook, extra lcd and parts. Pm or e-mail me at: slaymaker@excite.com

Well a friend and i took the tibook apart last night and went to replace the lcd and or cable. the replacement lcd works but the backlight is out. the old screen's controller was hosed.
I mean, the actually decoder between the wire and the actual display. may require just a whole new screen. in light of that since all other parts are working great. i will do a price drop to $250 shipped in the us for all parts including screen(working) with no backlight. may be able to replace backlight.

Can't you take the backlight off the old LCD, since that was working on the old one?

even though the seller of the extra lcd/parts auction did say it was sold as in the auction. when i received it we noticed that some wires had been tampered with by the screen cable connection and under the backlight. when i e-mailed him he refused to do anything about it. but hopefully it will work if the baclight is replaced
