Well.. I'm giving my girlfriend a powerbook 3400 which will be great for what she needs a computer for: word processing, web design, and text-muds. :-)

Damn she's sweet... :)

I payed like 320 for it on ebay with a -nice- leather case, 2 batteries (one is a brand new NiMH), and all that other fun stuff. It works great... even the PRAM battery is working marvelously. :)

I'm very excited about giving it to her...

No idea what she's getting me yet!

For the whole family: an iPod (waiting 'til the Jan. show to see if something new comes out or if there are price changes...). We're in the car *hours* every day (traffic in Caracas = NYC or LA).

I did get an apple store gift certificate. Mabye this will be for the best, so I can get one if they do an update or a price drop after the 7th.

My wife bought me OS X for Christmas but I whined so much she gave it to me for our wedding anniversary (Dec 18) so I could load it up and play with it while we traveled. I also got some cash that I'm going to use to upgrade my copy of Macromedia Freehand (I'm already tired of using "Classic"). But to top it off I got a promise that we would be buying a tower in the first quarter of 2003! :D :cool:

Well, I got a program called 'National Geographic: 10 legendary years'-which is Mac OS 7.50- 9 (Classic) compatible (I don't think there'll be an Mac OS X version of it-unless that National Geographic would get sopme developer in the future to do a version for Mac OS X)

I got an iPod (10 GB Model), and I got the opportunity to upgrade to Jaguar because Lexmark released Jaguar drivers for their all-in-one X73. (I've had Jaguar - my mom's a teacher and I ordered her her free copy :D)

I finally got ReplayTV, and since it is a Linux box, I intend to hack into and modify it from my Mac.

For all the hoopla about Linux on the desktop, and the subsequent failure, I know have 2 full blooded Linux computers in my stereo system (ReplayTV 5040, and HP DEC-100c).

Well I gave myself this sweet Ti Powerbook G4 867 Mhz for xmas then my gf gave me a canon slim usb powered scanner and my sister gave me a LaCie 120 Gb firewire HD and also a mini usb hub:D :) :p :cool: :D
