Ginger Labs launched a major update to its iOS note-taking app Notability (http://www.gingerlabs.com/) today that includes universal compatibility with both the iPhone and iPad, as well as iCloud support for syncing and viewing between devices. The update also adds features such as cosmetic user interface changes and a new scissor tool for scaling and rotating.

Love this app. Great for school for using in lectures to annotate the professor's slides. The update is great!

Hmmmm, nice thing is that it is an universal app now and that you can do iCloud sync.

However, for me it also takes a few steps back:
- you can only sort your notes in descending order now
- opening notes is slower
- in the previous version the groupname was in the title of the note

An old bug still exists: when in read mode, you cannot skip to another note from the same group. In edit mode you can, because there's a button on the keyboard. In read mode you don't have a keyboard...
