View Full Version : FS: 1.6GHZ PowerMac G5, 20" Cinema Display

I have a 1.6GHZ PowerMac G5 with 768MB DDR SDRAM, 80GB Hard Drive, 16X DVD-RW Drive, New Mighty Mouse, Apple Pro Keyboard, All Legal Software also included with serials and original boxes, Tiger, iLife, Adobe CS, Macromedia Studio MX, Jam pack 3, The Sims 2.

I also would like to combine a 20" Cinema Display the translucent model. I just replaced the backlight inverter ($140) so it is bright and crisp. It has a small cloudy black spot in the upper left corner though you can still see right through it, it really doesn't get in the way for me. Beautiful display.

Everything is in great condition as I take great pride and care of my products. Original Boxes also included. Photos @ http://www.kurtdenison.com/powermacg5/index.htm

$1300 (entire package) plus shipping.
$850 PowerMac
$450 Cinema Display

Would trade for a newer powerbook.

Thanks.

For the Trade, define "High end PowerBook." I have a 1Ghz TiBook with 1GB RAM in very good shape I could trade.

Is this the 1.6 GHz G5 with the soldered CPU and the slower bus that recently got a firmware update to make it stable?

No, the single 1.8 had the recent firmware update.

Just to help the seller out, I recently had a machine similar to this (1.6, 1GB, 200GB 16MB Cache, ATI 9650), and with the new video card, I scored over a 70 on xbench! You won't find another Mac this fast for this price.

All Legal Software installed, Tiger, iLife, Adobe CS, Macromedia Studio MX, Jam pack 3, The Sims 2.
You are including all the CDs, serials and transfer of license for these apps? If so this is a great value.

So tempting! I was trying to save up for a Mac Mini, but save up a little more and I could get a G5...

What kind of graphics card is inside that?

This is actually a surprisingly powerful graphics card. More so than I would have assumed when I got my used Dual 1.8 (which is great by the way) :)

you post this in alot of threads (somebody needs to buy this!) i don't think you are selling or buying, so why post, it could be considered threadcrapping (good crap, but still crap)

You can blame me later for bumping it :p I finally scrapped enough cash together to buy it, so I PM'ed him in hopes it would be still available. No reply for a couple of days, so I bumped the thread.

It's not possible. These people must have run it before XBench was retooled.

The current "zero point" system is the Dual CPU 2.0 G5. That machine will score 100. So no way an iBook is even in the vicinity.

This setup is still available. I appologize for not getting back to everyone, I am going to have to wait until after the holidays to sell though. I want to give everyone a fair chance, and will get this goin soon. Again I appologize for the delay. If your interested send me a pm, and I am keeping track of everyone. Thanks again!
