I have Breaking Bad season 5 Blu-Ray - I've backed it up with MakeMKV and I can play the four episodes just fine in VLC. VLC shows the title numbers as 24, 25, 26, 27.

However when I look in HandBrake to select the proper title, I see a bunch of different ones and the numbers don't line up. I see four sets of titles, each matching the proper times for the episodes, but the title numbers are all 122 and higher.

None of the other seasons did this, they all only had one set of appropriate-length titles to convert.

How can I figure out which title I'm supposed to be converting?

I don't have Breaking Bad, but this is how it is with many blu-ray TV seasons. There may be multiple sets of titles because they groups different tracks with each of them, such as different language audio and subtitle tracks. Almost always the first set is the one you should use if it is the English version that you want. If you are looking for a different language version you may want to check each set carefully to find the right one.

Thanks. I tried File > Open Disc in MakeMKV and it came up with only the first four (800-803, which line up to 122-125 in HandBrake). It said the others were duplicates so that's probably the right way to go.

Got them all ripped and converted, once I watch them I'll know :) but of course I still have the BR disc if I need to redo it.

Probably a dumb question, but in MakeMKV, it only allows me to make .mts files from BDs. How in the world do I do a MKV?

Since I'm just using it as the decryption mechanism so I can run HandBrake on it, I don't really care what the format is as long as HandBrake recognizes it. However when I did the File>Open Disc, then checked the tracks I wanted converted, it did make .MKV files for those tracks. Normally I just use the "Backup Disc" function & take what I get.

After I'm done with HandBrake conversion, I delete all the other files that were created.
