So, when i tried to connect to the internet (on my Macbook Pro) today (via system prefs) it said that "Wi-Fi has a self assigned IP address (IP Address) and will not be able to connect to the internet." Now all my devices are not connecting to the internet :( Only my IPhone is connecting to LTE/4G.

I'm getting very depressed and frustrated with this!! I tried everything! Everything! But nothing will help :( Does anyone know how to fix this?

Please help me. I run a network and need to speak with partners, I'm losing money :(

Normally, the wireless router give each device an IP address, to allow it to communicate with the network. If the computer can't get an IP address from the router, then it gives itself one, which does NOT let it communicate on a network.

If all your devices have self-assigned IPs, and you iPhone is only connecting over the phone network, it sounds like your router isn't working properly.
