I enjoy the 'community' here at MacRumors, and because of this I would like to give you the first opportunity to buy my 12" PowerBook. Being a techno-nerd (like many of us in these forums) I have kept this PowerBook in very good condition, so It will be a great buy for anyone.

Specs:
12" PowerBook
G4 867MHz
40 GB Hard Drive
640 MB RAM (128 MB internal 512 extra, this is the maximum RAM for this system)
CD-RW/DVD ROM Combo Drive
Airport Extreme
The battery still holds a charge around 3 hours.
AppleCare is included and will expire on 9/18/2006

Everything else on the machine is standard and the specs can be found on Apple's site (http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Manuals/specs/powerbook/L25519A_EN.pdf)

I am selling this PowerBook because I recently upgraded to a 15" PB, because I just wanted a little more screen space. Though I already miss the ultra-portable size of the 12" PowerBook.

The case is in pristine condition except for one small scratch on the base. The scratch is very thin and the length is smaller than the diameter of a penny, so not very significant, but I will send a picture upon request.

The screen is in pristine condition as well. I was a bit of a clean-freak and cleaned the screen and keyboard weekly when I was using the computer.

I know the Market Place forums can be somewhat critical, but I would rather try to sell my PowerBook to someone here than to go through all of the e-bay fees.

I have been watching similar sales on e-bay and the prices have ranged up to $1000 with a superdrive and down to $700 with no wireless and minimum RAM. So, given the specs of what I am including I think $850 would be reasonable to expect from e-bay, though the price could end up being higher. With that in consideration, and because I do not want to deal with the fees on e-bay, I would like to sell the PowerBook for $800. I will discuss shipping for any serious offers. E-mail me at bigsbiker at sbcglobal . net or PM me.

I will be available to quickly complete a deal by Wednesday the 23rd. After that I will be busy with Thanksgiving and may or may not have internet access. If I receive no reasonable offers, I will place this PowerBook on e-bay during the week of the 28th. Thanks for your interest!

He said no trades, and you already posted once asking if he would trade. Pathetic.

Good luck with the eBay sale, wPod.

Yeah, sorry, no trades, no more negotiations, its up on e-bay so it has to sell there now. I guess if I get no bids then I will come crawling back here! heh. but if anyone from macrumors wins the bid, then mentions it to me, i will waive the shipping fee! but, if no one has talked to me yet about buying it, then i doubt anyone from here will bid :-/ Thanks for your interest though!

but how could you go for just ONE mac?! i will only have one mac once i get mine sold. but that is because of monetary reasons, not because that is what i chose. man, if it were my choice id have a different mac for everything.

1) iMac G3 for word processing (come on, how much power do you need for that?)

2) PowerMac G4 with gobs and gobs of server space for music. all you need is a good sound card and big hard drives to get the music job done.

3) iMac G4 for pictures. Just enough power so the imports from your camera dont take to long. but a cool form factor for when you want to show off your pics to other people.

4) PowerMac G5 for all the videos. Yeah, videos take a lot of power to manipulate and a lot of space to save.

5) PowerBook G5 for all of the . . . wait, there will never be a PowerBook G5. . . more like a PowerBook G4 just for portability when you leave the house.

6) Very Powerful windows machine. Yes, i said it. some of us do play video gams and would need a windows machine. sorry apple. maybe one day people will start making really good games for OS X. . . and maybe that day will come when apple switches to intel. . . .. hmmmmmmm

7) oops, am i off topic?

you should have mentioned it earlier! in the used ANYTHING business people set the price a little higher just to have some room to negotiate! but go ahead and bid on e-bay, let me know and ill cut you a deal on shipping.
