I've got a 500mhz iBook G3 coming via UPS, and it is missing the Power Adapter due to it being broken (I was told about this, and I knew prior) so I'd like to get one, so uh, duh I have Power and I can charge the battery.
I would like to buy one, pictures would help, I will pay via PayPal, and I have references here on MacRumors and on eBay under digitialnirvana (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=digitialnirvana) (36 Feebacks).
I'd like to pay no more than $30 shipped but I'm flexable...would like to not have to go over $50 shipped.
This is what I need:

How much? Is it the 45W adapter, because that's the one I need.

In that case, if you could get me a picture or two, I might be interested in buying it :).

You can use the 65W one as well.

Wait, so I could use the Adapter from my 12" PB (Rev D.)? I believe that's a 65W...

The 12" PowerBooks use a 45W Adapter. Either way, you could use it with the iBook just fine. If something can handle a 65W draw of electricity, it can handle a 45W no problem. A friend of mine even called AppleCare once to confirm.
I have a Third-party power Adapter for PowerBooks/iBooks that works great. I would sell it for $30 shipped. PM me if you are interested.

I had the 45 watt for my refurbished 500 MHz ibook and the adapter broke. Apple send me the 65 watt as a replacement. I complained it was the wrong one and they told me how the notebook can regulate the power adapter to make sure it had the correct wattage or something like that. Anyway, they guaranteed me that the 65W adapter they sent me would work. I never had a problem with it. I assume all 65W adapters will work on the notebooks that come with 45W adapters.

Yes the 65's will work on 45's. I bought a second power adapter off ebay for my iBook G3 500Mhz, and I ended up getting a 65w because they were cheaper for some reason.
So yeah, you could use your pb's
Enjoy the iBook. I had a 500Mhz, they're nice!

If the one from my PowerBook doesn't work, I'll PM you about yours and possibly buy it from you, thanks for the offer :).

You don't remember the lecture the Connie-Chung-ish Genius gave us about this? The adaptors are interchangeable.

I guess for now, I'll try my 12" PB one, and then if that doesn't work I'll come back to this thread, so for now hold off on offers. :)
Thanks.
