i've been using os x for about a couple months know and I love it. i do have a problem in Word though. i try to write a fraction (1/2) but it doesn't convert it to a "normal" looking fraction the way Word 2001 did, how can this be fixed?
also, does anyone know if Microsoft is developing Outlook for Mac for OS X. I'd really like it for my school e-mail.

why? so that people can write viruses that can completely kill your computer due to the lack of security in that ****ty program? stick with mail for os x or eudora.

are there any folders i should delete for office v. X and any other programs that might be sending data to its vendors like some adobe stuff does?

Lets see....
You go to the word which is underlined in the zigzag red.... the word you want to fix.... and you highlight it. Then you press the control button and click on the word... then you click Learn word or somethin like that....
That should do it.

Ah, I think there are better places on the Internet to be asking that kind of question...
This is macrumors.com, not macserialjunkie.com.

Please don't turn this into a software piracy connection site! Yes, I've swapped software myself, but at least I stick with a pretty tight group so serial numbers don't get posted everywhere. If you're going to use a piece of software and eventually intend to buy it, even if it is someday over the horizon, that's one thing.
Asking for a serial number because you don't support Microsoft? We're damn lucky they consider the Mac a viable enough market to continue software development. I paid out good cash for my Office v.X (and Office 98 when I was in college) and a lot of other people did too and they are the ones who are paying for the continued Mac software development.
If you have to steal software, at least do it directly with friends or something. Don't turn this place into a piracy site.
So not cool...
[admin addendum: I think CHess said it best... at no time are serials/warez requests/offers appropriate on this site.]
