I own an ipad 2 for something like a year now.
Connected recently to library wifi (last time i connected was 2 days ago at home), and lots of things are suddenly wrong.

1. I get "cannot connect to iTunes Store" when I visit the App Store, and keep on getting "certificate is invalid..." When in iTunes, but I can at least use that.

2. Getting constant "invalid certificate...facebook....YouTube" on most sites i visit.

2. Expiriencing something similar to a plugin crash. Loads of pictures on websites just "x", and sites like facebook are completely text. Some however work mostly fine.

........

Tried deleting cookies and data, reset all settings, deleted "test flight" app which I allowed to change my settings (it seemed legit though, i was using it to beta test gof alliances from fishlabs).

Anyone? Can I just bring my pad to a shop and say"fix this problem or replace", or is it considered my fault?

Will jail breaking solve these problems by any chance?

Connected to library wifi and things went wonky

What happens on any other wifi. Like at home, Starbucks etc.

If they are all fine then the issue is that the library is clocking certain sites etc, likely to keep anyone from leeching massive bandwidth, using them to download porn, torrents etc. Nothing you can do to fix that.

Well I used the wifi here before often and no problem.
Internet is down at home, i will try somewhere else given a chance. But seriously, I doubt this is all because of my wifi.

P.s regarding images they are actually small blue question marks not exes.

I don't know if this is related, but my iPad has just started having similar issues. I can't open the Featured tab of the App Store ("Cannot connect to iTunes Store") nor can I click on app store links. Other sections in the app store seem to work.

Also getting errors from the Youtube app ("Youtube is not available").

I haven't noticed the 'broken plugin' graphics, but I have issues loading content on some sites. Funnily enough, many pages on the Apple site are just blank on my iPad.

I'm wondering if it's because my iPad 2 is still on iOS 5. I don't really want to upgrade as I don't like the iOS 7 UI, nor did I want to give up Google Maps / Youtube app upgrading to iOS 6. Most importantly, I don't want to upgrade iOS only to find the device is a good deal slower in the new version.

Kinda worrying.. I'd expect apps to drop compatibility, but it's a shame when web sites/services break so quickly.

I have an iPod Touch running iOS 5.1.1. No issues other than the home button is tired so I use assistive touch. The only app that mandated an upgrade was Fidelity and that was about 2 days ago.

Thanks for the info. My iOS version is slightly older (5.0.1 I think) but I don't know if that's the issue. I just found it odd that the same things suddenly broke for me as the OP - the App Store and Youtube.
