is there anyway to check netscape mail with mail on mac os x?

I don't know anything about netscape mail but I don't see why not. If it is web based like hotmail then hust go to the website (duh!), if it is IMAP/POP3 based just setup your account in the Mail.app.

well it is web-based but i wanna access it using mail, and I was wondering if you anyone had any luck?

If it is ONLY web based then that's just how it is, if they say it is accessible via POP3/IMAP then you should be able to get this info from netscape and set it up in mail.

hmm... well you can access it through netscape's mail section, just discovered this but i really dislike netscape mail, any suggestions or more helpful someone that has actually done this rather than give me crap

Screw you then a$$ hole! You post a decent question with information and you may get a better response.
I suggest you check your netscape app for the mail settings, get the server names and set it up in Mail....as I have said twice already now. Prick. :rolleyes:

Netscape's mail is a bit propietary.
The only way you can access it besides the web is Netscape's own mail client. They don't give out the server names so you have to use theirs.

So you're out of luck.

If you wanna read Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. using the Apple Mail.app, you need a third party app called Mail Forward.
