Great news! Those rumors abut Cilization 3 and the beta testing have finally materialized into Civilization 3 Complete which includes both expansion packs! :cool:

I think I just might have to buy this for the holidays!

I already own the Original Civ III but I stopped playing it because I upgraded my display to a 20" (1680x1050).

I used to play it in 1280x1024 on my old display and can't get myself past the fact that I'm stuck at 1024x768 on my 20 incher. It looks awful and I really miss the advantages of being able to see a larger portion of the map.

Anybody know what resolution modes Civ III complete supports?

I went directly to Aspyr for the answer to my question and I was surprised and pleased by the answer:

Does the game supports resolutions higher than 1024x768. Does it support the native 1680x1050 aspect ration of my display? (No stretching)

Hello ******,

The game does support higher resolutions and widescreen resolutions. Assuming your video card is robust enough to handle a video game at 1680x1050, then you should be able to run Civ3 at that resolution.
