Vodafone end Man Utd shirt sponsorship deal

I wonder if they'll bring Sharp back to the shirts?

Certainly might bring us some good luck back as we blooming well need it.

Yep, it took me a moment to twig too... 😉 Interesting though to take a look through the tables and see the league positions back then – I'd settle for ninth in 'Division Two' this season!

Back on topic, I'm sure United won't be short of offers – although it will be interesting to see the deal they're able to get now that the team appears to be on the wane...

Of course, if you want some extra cash after you lose your shirt sponsors you can always rename your stadium after a sponsor... 😛

Following on from the Vodaphone news, United have today denied rumours that they're considering such a plan.

Why not? It's not like it's going anywhere either. Vodafone is the No.1 mobile comms group in the world, you'll be seeing more of it, not less.
 
I heard that Vodafone were getting bad feedback on this sponsorship.

Although Man Utd are the most supported club, they are also the most hated.

Apparently some people who don't like Man Utd were refusing to buy a Vodafone phone and telling Vodafone the reason why.
