that's a very nice system

sounds like you're a world of warcraft man. it's a MMORPG and it's meant to be great fun (although i've never played it myself)

If you like RPGs check out the reviews here: http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/index.php?S=Genre you'll need to skip a few pages to get to them, but there are plenty available for OS X.

Well Fable is meant to becoming before the years out. You could also get into World of Warcraft, Kinghts of the old Republic or Neverwinter Nights.

Its a pity the Morrowind series never made it to Mac.

Go have a look over at InsideMacGames for lots of Mac games

You are either OFF YOUR HEAD, or you're referring to disk space. jtalerico is referring to RAM, or physical memory.

May I politely ask what you do that requires 7 gigs of RAM? There are precious few tasks that can even pretend to put that much RAM to use...:p

Your sig says that you have dual 2.2 GHz G5 - that's not true. You have dual 2 Ghz. There's no 2.2 ghz G5. Look more carefully at your original post with ur specs.

As for games, I recommend Knights of the Old Republic, UT2004, Battlefront.

I'll make an attempt:

Civ III
Warcraft III
Warcraft III Frozen Throne Expansion
Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast
Civ IV
The Sims (+ expansions)
KOTOR
The Sims 2

I do not play all that many games on the Mac, so that is all I can offer. Though I do plan on getting World of Warcraft soon and am looking to buy Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds if anyone has a copy to sale.

that machine has way too much specs for its own good, id ebay it and use the winnings to buy a fast proc machine and not put so much dang ram in it, no common user will ever need 7 gigs...

Hey, I say keep 'em and enjoy 'em! :D

Oh, and just to be picky, in your sig, it should be "7 GB of RAM", but if you want to say "Gigs" then at least take out the apostrophe, they way you have ti now is incorrect. RAM should also be capitalized. :)

And yes, I know I'm a picky bastard.

FPS: I rank BF1942 at the top, followed by Star Wars Battlefront.

RTS: I rank Total Annihilation at the top. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds is pretty good as well.

Since you prefer RPG's I suggest Dungeon Seige and Neverwinter Nights and for MMORPG you can play Planeshift for free. There is another free MMORPG but I misplaced my reference to it.

There are a number of nice mods for BF1942 and Dungeon Seige. There are quite a number of unit sets for Total Annihilation and the TA web sites and groups are still active. I have played TA with resolutions up to 1600x1200, it has none of the resolution limitations typical of most games.

I only have 71 games installed, played at least half of them, another dozen not installed yet.

Minions of Mirth is a massively single player, multiplayer, persistent world RPG.

Not free, but no monthly fee. Check out the press release.

I got Planeshift working, but due to lack of time all I could do was log into the server, look at the buildings, be amazed and log out. They claim it is not fully done but I have never seen a "fully done" commercial game either.
