I think the accounts only work with one... like, a 360 user cant play a regular XBox user, etc. Maybe Halo 2.

Also, I think you can 'upgrade' your account to 360 when you get it, but you cant downgrade.

Mine is jaredkipe and I play CoD2 and Halo2 and in a week or so I'll be rocking some DOA4. I also have played Forza online, but don't regularly because people are so gosh darn competitive at it. People will get pissed if you tap their bumper and they're fine, and they'll come up and run you off the road cursing at you the whole time. And they all have southern accents. And then they'll be like, "well I'm not racing against a Saab, they're too fast" and boot me. :'(

I'd love to see some Halo2 macrumors stuff going on. If anything gets done, please invite me to it.

I've given this some thought. The way I see it is, either sell it, or give it away. I'm sure we all have a friend or two that would love an older xbox system. Throw in some non backwards compatible games and you have yourself a good christmas present.

I set up my 360 in the office with my gamertag and then I set up the 360 in my bedroom with the same gamertag (by recovering it from xbox live).

However when I went to play xbox live back in the office it wouldn't let me connect to live. I recovered gamertag and it worked again.

Back into bedroom and low and behold would'nt let me connect. AGhhhhhhh :confused:

you should be able to use your tag on any system. contact the live support team and they will fix the problem no doubt

Just an update guys. I contacted Microsoft support few minutes ago.

You can use your live tag on any console unfortunetly you have to recover it everytime you switch machine.

It's the only way that it can keep track of your achievements / gamer profile I guess. It's a damn bloody pain though.

I was advised to jsut create another profile. But that sucks ass as it means my downloaded marketplace stuff is invalid on the other console and also means I would have to pay for gold membership twice.

The woman suggested I just create a new one each month and that way I get free gold membership (using the month trial each time) that's too much hassle too.

Oh well.
