Hi.
How do I uninstall iTunes 11.1 beta 2 and go back to 11.0.5?

Open terminal and type :
cd /Applications/
sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/

Download iTunes 11.0.5 from apple and install it.

Thanks.. but does this affect my library and my playlists?

I'm assuming that the command has the same effect as removing iTunes with AppZapper, so I'll assume that it does not modify your library other than what I'm about to explain...

***You should ALWAYS make a backup copy of anything you're not sure about deleting regardless.***

When attempting to run 11.0.5 after reinstalling, you will get an error message about your iTunes Library.itl file having been created in another version of iTunes. Just click Quit and then delete the iTunes Library.itl file in your Music folder (you made a backup, right?). You should then be able to run iTunes again and get the initial screen asking to search for media. Once you do that, you should have a new ITL file and be back in business. By now I'm sure you've figured this out, but this thread seemed incomplete without an answer...
