I just got an email from someone I know at games store in NSW and they say the release date for Australia is March 2 2006.

I don't know if this is old news or not, but I thought I'd pass it on, I'm not interested in getting anyone in trouble at any gaming stores if this information isn't meant to be in the public domain yet, so no names. They have suggested most stores in Australia will be taking pre-orders in the next couple of weeks, which means if this information isn't official yet an announcement can't be far off.

Do the US prices include tax?

Do the US prices include tax?No... that varies from state to state and may not be charged if you order from someone out-of-state, or if you live in a state that has no sales tax. Sales taxes go up to 9% or so, depending on the state.

Meh, we pay more. Always have, always will.

All I know is that I can afford a hell of a lot more on my Australian waiter's wage than I could when I was working in Canada.

CAN$6.50 an hour? WTF? You can't live in the rockies on that sort of pay?!?!
OUTRAGEOUS!!

At least here I was paying that same in cost of living in our ski fields but earning 4 times the money - and we don't tip, AUD$24.00 an hour is waaay better.

God I need to get out of uni.

Could be worse...you could be living in rip-off Britain

Last time I checked a 60 gig iPod was at least 100AUD cheaper over there than the same one bought here.
