Holly Ball Attire

Hello eveyone, My holly ball (dance) is in a couple weeks.

I already have a light Polo button down shirt, Banana Republic dress pants, and a black leather belt.

I need:
- Dress Shoes (black to match belt)
- Tie
- New Blazer (outgrew my old one, Black or Blue?)

black blazer ... goes with more than the blue and since you're investing in the black shoes ... you can now use them all the time nad piece together different pants and shirts to go with your tie / blazer / belt. I don't plan on getting a blue blazer until I need one because they look far to preppy/ sophiticated in my book, like you're getting ready for a cocktail party not going out with your friends. A gray tone could also work. Do you need the tie? I mean a good dress shirt + blazer would looked pretty dressed up.

It also depends on the color of the dress pants ... I mean black goes better with jeans, but if you have khakis, it will definitely be easier to match a blue blazer. blah, this could probably just sneak into the metrosexxual thread....

Yea, the meto thread made me think of this.

This is a formal event and jeans are against dress code if I remember correctly. If you have read any of the metro thread, I am a pretty preppy person so blue might not be that bad for my style. My old one is Blue. Gray suits remind me of old men (haha).

I can still buy a brown belt and brown shoes, it won't really make a huge difference.

As for a tie I need to find a tie. Perhaps a christmasy one or striped?
