Can't update iPod

My iPodT5 says iOS 7.0 is available - but I plan to wait as I know the servers are being heavily taxed right now.
Edited to add that iOS 7 is also available for my iPad 2. Will wait on that one as well since I'm at my office.
I always do a full backup of both devices to my computer before updating, but don't have the time right now.
