I have to clarify my vote (mac and pc). I enjoy building my own computers so I built one to learn Linux.

Between all my family members, that's 5 Macs, no PC's, although I'm considering turning one of our older systems into a Linux box.

Great to see that 3/4's of us are Mac users at home!
I use a Power Mac G4 400 1.25 GB RAM 17" CRT, it has been a loyal computer for 2 years 3 months. :)

Just my G3 iMac DV slot loader all decked out in lime...I'm putting some little 'enhancements' on it, like an 80 gb HDD, CD-RW, Zip 100, floppy, stereo, it's been loyal since Christmas 1999:D :D

I'm waiting to hear from the MacRumor's member, guy or gal, that pines for a Mac but is still locked into their Commodore 64.

I generally use my 867 w/Sony 21", but it's borrowed on occasion. See:
http://homepage.mac.com/leskern/PhotoAlbum7.html
I also use my wireless TiBook, unless that too is borrowed. See:
http://homepage.mac.com/leskern/PhotoAlbum11.html
My daughter (age 8) has an iBook.... which I can't borrow... ever. See:
http://homepage.mac.com/leskern/PhotoAlbum10.html
She's 8 years old. Can ANYONE even imagine what SHE'S going to see?

I've got an old G4 450 Sawtooth - its starting to get a little old, but I'm not buying a new machine until something new comes out - hoping for the 970 by the end of 2003.

Be thankful you have the 20 instead of the 6300! The "plain" 6300 is easily in the top 5 worst computers of all time.

A 64-bit PPC processor on a 32-bit bus meant the CPU ran at half the clock speed. The motherboard was made up of some many variants of bits and pieces that everything ran at a different speed. Even the ROM was full of bugs. A good portion of the 6300 was made from leftover LCII parts, some as old as 1992 or 1993.
Oh, and the modem port didn't support hardware handshaking, so you were reduced to internet speeds that would leave you in tears at a max speed of 9600. It had a SCSI CD-ROM (?) and an ATI HD. Installing an internal modem disabled the AppleTalk port, and installing an ethernet card disables the printer port.
It was slapped together for a solution that had no problem, and get this: New cost STARTED at $2,500.00. I refreshed my memory by reading various web sites. But I HAD a 6300, and it was a beast. I actually GAVE it away.
So what's the WORST Mac ever made?

I think the slot-loading DV line were some of the best Macs ever. I have about 120 of mainly the graphite, and the ONLY problem has been dying hard drives in about 10-15 of them. At 80.00 for 80GB, that a steal.
iMac DV (400Mhz) with Altec Lansing 2100s - mostly for music.
Original PB G3 for random stuff.
Canon Rebel 2000 EOS 35mm Camera.
HP 970Cxi Printer.
Toshiba Cable Modem.

iBook (see sig), and home-built PC that I built from scavenged parts plus $175 in new parts (namely new case, mobo and AMD Athlon XP 1700+). The PC is nothing but a file server, though. I love how my iBook can seamlessly connect wirelessly to my PC file server. IT people that think Macs can't integrate into a Windows environment are so clueless  I didn't have to set up or install ANYTHING to connect to my PC. Just go to "Connect to server" from the Finder and there it was on the server list (after taking a couple seconds to find it). Really not any harder than finding a machine through Windows Explorer...

No Mac. Yet. (Working on it!)
4 PC desktops (P3-500, P3-667, Athlon-800, AthlonXP 1800+),
2 laptops (P2-300, P3-700),
2 old Commodore Amiga's (68030-40MHz, 68030-50MHz tower conversion).
All bar the 40MHz Amiga in regular use (weekly). I probably need to get out more...

I use a Sawtooth G4 500 (1.5Gig Ram, 150GB HDDs, Superdrive) as my main machine, and have a G4 500 TiBook too.
Yesterday I ordered a Dual 1.42GHtz PM as my new main machine. I did a build-to-order and including UK VAT it's less than the Dual 1.25 machine EX VAT!! Cool. I already have a superdrive so I'll swap it over. I don't burn enough to warrant 150 quid on just 4x writing.
