I wonder why there is a difference in visual effects for iOS 7 on either the iPad 2, 3 or the Mini? They are all identical in CPU specs--with a the iPad 3 having more RAM and a superior GPU (but 4x the pixels to render) and the 2 and Mini being virtually identical--however, it seems iOS 7 treats them differently. On the Mini, some things are translucent, others are not (there isn't really consistency between apps), yet on the iPad 3, most UI elements are translucent, but without the heavy blur filter. On none is the keyboard translucent. Since the silicon is almost the same between the three models (dual ARM Cortex A9 at 1GHz, PowerVR 543MPx), why would the effects be different? Battery life concerns?
