recover photo's from compact flash

Hey there,
anybody knows a good (windows or OSX) utility to recover accidentily deleted photo's from a compact flash card? Preferably for free.

If you've taken any pictures since the deletion, it is probably gone forever. Assuming you haven't, you are not going to find a good way to do it for free. Many programs that scan drives for deleted files cost a good penny. Sorry.

i'm trying this app now, but i'm afraid i have allready taken pictures with the camera after the pics were deleted (i didn't know they were deleted).
i'll keep you posted.

They are most likely gone then.

well, after the furst scan, the app did find some deleted images, but those were from another trip, couple of months ago, the card has been formated a couple of time already since then.
but the images i'm looking for haven't been found yet, but i'm rescanning in advanced mode now, so maybe...
