Airdrop

I like the Airdrop feature but am finding only slightly better than just messaging what ever it is your sending.

It can be slow for the other persons icon to show up. I think that may have something to do with the range.

I'm finding the iPhones have to be with in a couple feet of each other. Across the room isn't close enough.

What sort of range are people finding they get with airdrop?
