just perusing mac downloads this morning, and this looks like just the app i'm after, but surprise surprise, the website is down. would anyone be willing to host it or email it to me? (thisconversationisover[at]gmail.com)

Yes, you can turn off that stuff 🙂 control-click/right-click on the menu icon to get at the preferences.
 
thank you again. i'm tired of looking through about 20 windows in exposé looking for itunes just to skip a track!! 😀
