iPhone 4 gets almost too hot to hold w/iOS 7

This never happened with 6.1.3 but last night after playing a video I picked up my phone and it was very hot. I shut it down and had to wait for it cool before I could put it in my pocket. I also noticed that the battery life rocketed downward from 96% to 46% while playing a 30 minute video. Anyone else having these issues?
