iPhone iOS 7 swipe gesture not working

Just upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and the swipe gestures are not working. For mail, messages and safari, swiping the screen does not bring me to the previous page. Does anyone know how this could be resolved? Thanks!

Works for me. Have you tried resetting all settings?

Have you tired swiping from off the screen?

Are you doing it properly? from left edge to right?

You have to swipe from the edge onto the screen.

I was annoyed as well. You have to start the motion from off the screen, otherwise it won't register as a swipe. I was frustrated with this as well at first, due to this.
