Folders and the Home Button

One things that has bugged me on iOS7 and since the previous OS, is when I go into a folder, go into an app, hit the home button, it takes me back to the open folder. Unless I am missing something, is there a way to have the home button go back to the main screen and not the open folder? Small issue that has bugged me for awhile.

Behaved the same way in iOS 6 unless you were jailbroken and loaded the tweak that would auto-close the folder when you opened an app inside of it.
