Forgot password on my MacBookPro

I forgot my password. Took my laptop to Apple store where Genius said to unlock my computer, he will have to wipe everything on my computer. Ahhhh! I'm looking for another solution. Here is a breakdown of what's going on:
Forgot password
FileVault On
Cannot find my Recovery Key
I know I'm an idiot for not backing up my computer. I would welcome any suggestions. Thx!

If you stored your FV key with Apple, you can still unlock, I think you have to call, other than that, you'll have to wipe everything and reinstall the OS.
