I followed the directions on this website and have Front Row on my Powerbook right now. It works smoothly and flawlessly. Wow!
Don't post these in MacRumors (http://www.piratesrus.com/)
If we can only figure out something with a remote, we will have it settle for al of us who don't have a iMac G5 with iSight.
Anyone got any ideas for a remote that might work? I was thinking about Griffin's AirClick USB. If someone has that and it works with Front Row, Let us all know.
Thanks

I've got my SE T616 phone using Romeo working as a remote on my first gen iMac, it's rather nice.

You're about a whole month behind in the news department.

Perhaps, but even old news is good news. I have not found a post on here with specific instructions this easy. I am sorry to offend all those top notch on the second reporters who are able to sit in front of the computer all day and stare at MacRumors. I didn't see any easy way to do it with the last few posts, that is why I shared this.... Ease and simplicity in 5 minutes.

I gave Front Row a shot. I thought I had it working on my new-used PowerMac G5. Things ran smooth for a while, then I noticed some things missing and files had moved. Then I lost my "minimize" button on any applications running at the time and then my system preference settings started to change. I lost my monitor resolutions. Enough to freak you out!
I could risk things anymore, so I wiped out my HD and reinstalled everything. 6 hours wasted. Now I will wait until there is a offficial version released for all Macs.
USERS BEWARE OF THIS! I don't think it is as easy as copying and pasting files and updating DVD Player to the iMac iSight version. Plus without the proper remote, things run slow and rough (even at 2GHz and 1.5GB RAM). Apple is all about it's hardware and software being so well integrated together. I would not risk anymore HACKS like this ever again.

The reason you didn't see it, is because it is ok to talk about the fact that it can be done, but not ok to post how to do it. It is illegal after all.

Being that this is not entirely legal, and Apple would rather you didn't pirate their software, this should not be discussed on these boards. Thanks! :)
