Hi,

I usually do not have a well feeling using extra utilities that do something to your disk, but I read some posts about "SpeedTool Utilities" by Intech (which is a rebrand of Disk Tool Pro) and was wondering, what your experiences are?

(Reminds me a bit of Tech Tool Pro in the early days of OS 9...)

I often hear of such cleaning and repair applications that do more harm than good to the System/HDD.

Thanks!

When I got my first 320GB hard drive it was for my old TiBook so I had to get Speed Tools to partition the drive so that I had access past the 128GB level.

I can vouch for it. I never used it beyond doing what I just mentioned though. But for that it was just fine.

Why do people keep getting this wrong?

Intech's SpeedTools Pro is the ORIGINAL product that has existed for years.

Macware's DiskTools Pro is merely a rebranded version of that.

Hm, read that and did not double check, which one was first. Maybe People confuse it with the older TechTool...
