Mount MAC on PC

Happy NY,

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but how can I mount a MAC drive on PC?
I'm running Win2000 Pro, and can't even see it Macs on the network in the Neywork naighbourhood, only other PCs. But I think there should be a way though smb, etc. to access Macs if there're TCP/IP based, right?:(

What OS are you running on the Mac?

OS 10.1.2 and OS 9.2

Ok, in "System Prefs" go in to "Sharing" and enable "Windows File Sharing", this will start a samba service in OSX that shares out your home directory. Now, again in "System Prefs", go in to "Accounts", select your username and edit it. Tick off "Allow user to log in from Windows", ok it a close System Prefs.

Now on your Windows box just map a drive as normal, "\\your-macs-IP\"
There is no share name as all folders in your home directory will be under \\your-macs-IP\. E.g. "\\your-macs-IP\desktop" will map your macs desktop as a drive. If you just want to access the drive you are better not mapping it, just going "Start > Run > \\your-macs-IP\" to see all folders.
