How to remove ? in the finder when a file is lost?

Are the shortcuts locked for some reason (Get Info from the Finder menu should tell you this)? Can you get them into the trash can at all? What are they, if you don't mind me asking? 🙂
 
Were these items in the Sidebar? You can just drag them out if you like. 🙂

Otherwise, items can be removed from various parts of the Finder by holding COMMAND and dragging them out. 🙂
